Since many of you ask how to print our articles here's a brief HOW TO:
Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 computers:
With Mozilla Firefox: Click on the Open menu icon at the top right of the toolbar. Click Print this page and a new window should open showing black text on a white page. If the page appears as you expect click Print, select the correct printer and click OK. Alternatively open the menu File of your browser and choose Print Preview. A window will pop up with different options. Again you should see a preview of the article with black text. If the page appears white on black the preferences should be changed.
With Explorer: the latest versions allow you to print even the background image of the web pages, but it's usually best if you print black text on white paper. Move the cursor into the body of the text, right click and a dialogue box should open. Click Print preview. The screen should display a new window with a copy of the article with black text and white background. At the top left you can click the printer icon to select various printers. The preferences should be set to print the document A4 and portrait. Click the Print button. If you want to print white on black then you will have to alter the preferences.
With Chrome: right click on the body of the text. A print window should open showing black text on white paper. You should see your default printer and that the document orientation is portrait. As an option you can click Black and white to save using your colour ink.
With Android tablets: the three dot option icon on the right of the toolbar. Touch Print... Save to Google Drive and then print from your home laptop/desktop using the Google Drive facility which syncs documents. There is a Print icon on the toolbar. Alternatively you can set up Google Cloud Print if you have a networked printer connected to a computer with a Google mail account onto your tablet.
Safari 6: Choose File > Print. If you see a Show Details button at the bottom of the Print dialogue, click it to set page size, orientation, scaling, or web page printing options. To include the background image and colour, choose Safari from the print options pop-up menu (the pop-up menu within a separator bar), and then select Print backgrounds. For more information about the options in the Print dialogue, click the Help button (looks like a question mark). You can also create a PDF file of the web page or send a fax of it using the Print dialogue.
Since many web sites have non-white backgrounds I suggest you set up the default web browser print preferences to use black text and a white background.
