After the very good success of the previous Shows organized in Milan (more than 4,000 visitors last year) and of the second edition of the Rome HiEnd Show in 2004 the organizers decided for setting up a third, bigger edition of the event.
The organizer, Mr. Stefano Zaini, believes that there is still "life" in 2-channel audio and refuses to accept everything will be transformed in multichannel/Home Theater. Just five years ago the idea of a 2-channel only Show was considered foolish, to say the least. After the HT-for-all bubble exploded it seems everyone is seriously considering Real Stereo again. Setting up - properly - a good 2-channel stereo system is an already quite complicated matter...go figure what happens with 5 or 7 speakers in the same room! Not to mention the WAF issue...
The third edition of the Rome HiEnd Show will take place the 29th and 30th of October, at the Congress Center Jolly Hotel Midas, Via Aurelia 800, Rome. Opening hours from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, free entrance. At the moment the organizer has prepared more than 20 listening rooms, placed at the 0° e -1° floor of the Midas Hotel. A list of partecipants can be found at the www.thesoundofthevalve.it website.
Considering the experience with the Milan HiEnd Show, the organizers have taken care of the quality of the acoustics, so that reasonably good demos should be allowed. The absence of Home Theater demos will prevent disturbing rumours expanding from one room to another.
Nearly 50 HiFi Companies and distributors will display products from coming from almost 200 different brands. As for "events" both Velut Luna and Fonè, two leading Italian audiophile record companies, will be demoing high quality software (even vinyl pressings) of their own. A live concert is scheduled, as well.

If all goes as planned TNT-Audio will hopefully partecipate in order to celebrate our 10 years of activity.
