[Editorial] How to support our independent reviews

Since 1995, TNT-Audio has been the only HiFi magazine in the world to be free and with no advertising or readers' subscriptions. A few years ago we launched a voluntary donation campaign via Paypal. We intend to use these donations to finance a website overhaul, and other collateral activities, such as reports from HiFi Shows, the possible purchase of products to review and some compensation, in the form of HiFi components, to our team of voluntary translators.

The magazine is, and will always remain, free of advertising support and free to read for everyone, donors and non-donors. Alongside the magazine, we manage our Facebook Page on which we publish the site's weekly news, reports related to the world of audio and music and a bit of humour related to the bizarre advertisements for HiFi products that crowd the web. Facebook allows you to support our page through a system called subscription: basically its a monthly donation of €0.99 that can be cancelled at any time. Thanks to this monthly donation, Facebook allows access to content and services reserved for donors, for example a discussion group (moderated), which could replace our old community on Yahoo.

For those who want to offer us a coffee a month we reserve previews of of the products that will be reviewed in the magazine, and any other extra content (videos etc.). For all other followers nothing will substantially change, they will continue to be informed about the release of new articles, news from the world of audio and music etc. We want TNT-Audio to remain open access for everyone, as it has always been.

Therefore, should you find the direct donation system on Paypal cumbersome, you can subscribe to a periodic donation on our Facebook Page, by clicking on the subscribe button that you will find on the main page. You cannot choose the amount, as we have chosen the lowest value allowed by the system, that is €99 cents a month. Allowed payment methods: PayPal or Google Play credits. We complain so much about the fact that the press is a slave to advertising and editorial/political lobbies rather than state support (which we do not have!), it is time to show that we care about a truly free voice, unique in the international panorama and always faithful to its initial mission: to talk about audio in a simple way and for all budgets!

It is a 100% independent magazine that neither accepts advertising from companies nor requires readers to register or pay for subscriptions. If you wish, you can support our independent reviews via a PayPal donation. After publication of reviews, the authors do not retain samples other than on long-term loan for further evaluation or comparison with later-received gear. Hence, all contents are written free of any “editorial” or “advertising” influence, and all reviews in this publication, positive or negative, reflect the independent opinions of their respective authors. TNT-Audio will publish all manufacturer responses, subject to the reviewer's right to reply in turn.
